Millions of views on TikTok, thousands of orders, and zero investment

I didn’t start developing my social media profiles until February 2021. In the year since then, I’ve tried various platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and Telegram. Today, I’m actively developing only TikTok and Telegram since they helped me secure a stable income without investing a dime. 

I came up with the idea of developing my TikTok because my wife and I were always shopping on AliExpress. When all of our orders exceeded $30,000, I decided to launch unboxing reviews. Thanks to TikTok’s extreme growth, I didn’t have to invest anything in promoting my channel. All my expenses now are on ordering inexpensive goods on AliExpress.

Less than a year after I started growing my TikTok channel, I’m seeing that some of my videos are getting millions of views. As you may guess, this is the kind of result you can only dream about on other platforms. However, there’s also a flip side: Sometimes, very cool videos see very poor responses. 

TikTok is a great tool for promoting accounts on other social media platforms. My ConvertSocial manager recommended creating a Telegram channel to which I lead my TikTok followers. I have around 200,000 followers on TikTok and 8,000 subscribers on Telegram. The average views of my Telegram posts are over 50%. If a TikTok video makes it to recommendations, most views result in users landing on my Telegram channel and thus placing orders.

How I started using the CPA model

I learned that I could monetize my content under the CPA model six months after I started developing my TikTok account. No one had bought ads from me, but I needed to commercialize my videos somehow. 

TikTok isn’t the best platform for CPA marketing since the only active link you can use lives in the profile description. On the other hand, Telegram allows you to post easily and quickly, embedding unlimited links. My best case was with a Dyson hairdryer when my video collected over 4 million views and generated a few thousand orders.

Statistics

The largest share of my passive income is currently attributed to CPA. Although, when I reached the bar of 150,000 followers, I got my first advertising requests. Today, I shoot around 5 promotional videos a month. 

I continue to enjoy working and developing my social media profiles. My wife and I are expecting a baby and want to start another blog dedicated to motherhood. I’m still convinced TikTok is one of the simplest and most cost-efficient ways to grow your social media accounts, even though you should be lucky enough to thrive.
